We are pleased to announce that as of July 28, 2026, the Charter of Sam F. Keziah American Legion Post 535 has been officially reinstated.

Following the election, the new Post officers are:

• Commander: Brian Burnett

• 1st Vice Commander: Warren Simpson

• 2nd Vice Commander: James Hood

• Financial Officer: Eric Thomas

• Adjutant: James Rowe

• Parliamentarian: Ken Alexander

• Sergeant-at-Arms: Ronnie Clawson & Tyrone Hairston

• Chaplain: Dana Lamb

• Historian: Magda Thomas

• Service Officer: Fred Rogers

 

The newly elected officers will hold their first official meeting this Thursday to begin the process of returning Post 535 to full operation.

 

Our goal is to restart all of our services and activities as quickly as possible, including our programs for veterans, community events, fundraising activities, and the many services our members and community have come to rely on.
